Telemann at the Tuileries
2017 marks the 250th anniversary of Telemann’s death, and to mark the occasion Passacaglia has put together a fascinating recreation of Telemann’s visit to the Tuileries Palace in Paris, where in 1737 he was guest of honour at the famous Concert Spirituel. Our programme contains two of Telemann’s magnificent Nouveaux Quatuors, especially written for the musicians of Paris, as well as other music known to have been performed in these concerts by Blavet, Leclair and Mouret.
